Pengharaman penggunaan plastik bag di South Australia

Checkout-style plastic bags will disappear from South Australian shops from the close of business on Sunday, with the state the first in the nation to ban them.

All retailers - from large supermarkets to small takeaway food shops - are subject to the ban.

They will offer compostable as well as reusable bags at a cost to consumers instead.

"By banning checkout-style plastic bags we'll be cutting waste to landfill, we'll reduce the amount of litter on our streets, in our parks and our waterways," SA Environment and Conservation Minister Jay Weatherill said in a statement.

Warga Adelaide sekarang kalau nak beli belah kena bawa beg shopping sendiri yang reusable. Kalau lupa, kat kaunter ada jual. Kalau memanjang lupa, melambak-lambak le bag tu kat rumah.

Bagus juga. Boleh jaga environment. Mungkin mula-mula tu leceh tapi lama-lama OK la kot. Takat ni belum jadi kebiasaan aku bawa bag shopping ni. Selalu je lupa. Nasib baik beli items 2-3 je boleh gandar pakai tangan je. Kalau beli banyak, kena la beli bag shopping tu priced at about $1 each. Kat rumah dah ada 6 rasanya.

Pelobi mengharamkan penggunaan plastik bag KAT SINI.

Ini satu langkah yang bagus bro utk jaga alam sekitar, tak mcm di sini, kesedaran ada, siap iklan dalam radio hari2 ttg bahaya penggunaan plastik ni. Patut ban je mcm sana buat tu ...

aku slalu pakai bag cam ni kalau gi keluar..senang nak isi brg2..lagi2 kalau gi flea market..bagus lah kesedaran tentang alam sekitar dah semakin baik..kat m'sia pon dah menggalakkan..cuma yang aku nampak kat jusco/giant/tesco jer.

bagus jugak kalau kat malaysia memperluaskan guna bag ni... gua selalu ada beg kain lipat utk isi grocery bila keluar pegi giant.

Malaysia kat giant/tesco/jusco/carefour dll tu dah ada...tapi lum ada undang2 la nak ban...tak tau la akan datang kot..

Beg-beg gini banyak dah kat Malaysia, tapi cuma diedarkan sebagai cenderahati percuma selepas kita isi survey dan seantero dengannya.

Kalau tup-tup buat kat malaysia, tokey dan peker ja Kampeni Plastik Ah Liaw tak sambut raya cina la maksudnya..

masa kat ireland dulu mcm ni gak. semua kedai x bg beg plastic, ada tapi kena beli. beg paper ada la dekat kedai2 besar. slalu kena bawak reusable bag bila kluar. mmg bagus kalau kat malaysia pun buat
