Dalam DVD tu ada rencana mengenai pembikinan album ini. Bestest! Durasi dalam linkungan 30 minit. Temuramah dengan semua yang terlibat, bandboys dan produser Kevin Shirley. Antara yang menarik:
- Steve Harris dan Bruce Dickinson berdiskusi tentang lirik dalam album ini. Harris mementingkan melodi daripada isi lirik kerana pada pandangannya orang yang dengar, nak dengar melodi dulu bukan lirik. Tapi Dickinson nakkan content yang mana terpaksa korban melodi tu kadang-kadang. Bestest! Check out ditribution of lyrics written by Harris and Dickinson... hahaha berperang tu!

- Apa instrument yang depa pakai dalam album ini? Adrian Smith pakai Gibson Les Paul yang katanya dibeli dengan harga lebih kurang 300 pound masa umur 17 tahun. Masih solid lagi! Dan dalam video tu ada juga dia pakai Gibson SG. Dave Murray pakai Fender Stratocaster yang Fender custom-made-kan untuk beliau. Steve Harris pakai bass (apa ntah) yang kalau korang perasan (aku pun tak perasan), yang dia punya pickup guard warna platinum tu. Dah berapa kali tukar warna. Terkini dalam DVD, warna cream. Sementara Nicko McBrain pakai snare yang dia beli berapa puluh tahun lepas yang katanya bunyi THE BESTEST!
- Cara produksi dan rekoding yang berbeza untuk album ini. Selalunya rekod instrument by instrument atau jam sekali semua. Last sekali baru mix, kan? Album ni lain. Depa rekod satu lagu, kemudian mix terus! So one by one, lagu siap rekod sekali mix

"DVD documentary
In addition to the standard CD release, A Matter of Life and Death was also released in a limited edition version which contains a bonus DVD. The DVD, which has a total runtime of nearly one hour, contains a half-hour documentary, plus videos and photos all shot whilst the band were making the album. The documentary "The Making of A Matter of Life and Death", directed by Matthew Amos (director of The Early Days and Death on the Road DVD documentaries), features candid video footage shot largely by Kevin Shirley himself during the recording of the album giving a behind-the-scenes look at life in the studio. The bonus DVD also features the full video promo for "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg", and a special intimate filming of the band recording "Different World" in the studio. The album is also available as a limited edition double picture disc vinyl in gatefold sleeve, and as a digital download."
The album went gold in Finland in its first week. This gold record became Maiden's 8th from Finland. The album sold over 220,000 copies worldwide in its first week of release and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide in 3 weeks. It entered at no. 4 in the world album chart, no. 1 in ten countries, no. 4 in the UK charts, no. 2 in Canada, no. 4 in India , and for the first time entered the U.S. top 10 at no. 9 with sales of over 56,000. An update on Iron Maiden's official website states that "In just the first week the new album has shipped over a million copies worldwide and impacted on the charts pretty well everywhere in the world". In doing so it has charted in the top 20 in 34 countries worldwide.

Ni antara first attempt gua pasal band Iron Maiden. Gua tertarik bila buka chorus atau part2 dlm lagu Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg Official Video Clip kt channel Hitz kt Astro. 2 antara album yg last beli sblm IM kluar album studio yg baru. (x dpt nk kumpul bnyk album sbb bnyk lg album2 lain nk kumpul bkn stkt ni aje kalo ada band2 yg low popularity tapi hasilnya mmg kagum bg gua utk dgrnya 2 pun rasa nk kebas juga (kalo bleh). Pas2 kalo lmbt beli slalu habis CD sbb x bnyk kluar lg especially kt M'sia.) Anyway, congrats Abg Bentara sbb berjaya mengumpul bhn2 Iron Maiden as IM fan. I salute!!!!!
