FAKE @ PIRATED QUEEN 40th Anniversary box set

I traded this boxset with a fellow trader who I have known for years. This was the first time he made the mistake. He told me that he bought this from another friend with a price tag of RM450 (about US$135) a few years back. Probably a few months after the original was released.

I hope this post will be useful for you to check on your purchase. Also to be aware of the many fake @ pirated box sets that are floating in the market. I believe they are mostly from China.

One thing about fake @ pirated box sets like this is that they originally selling very cheap in China. Recently I found out that the same boxset is selling at RM250 (US$76) BRAND NEW in Malaysia. Assuming that the seller must be taking like 20% profit, the price shipped to Malaysia from China is probably RM200 (US$60).

Most of all is that, this fake @ pirated has no quality control. Follow through and see what I am talking about.

I've taken a few photos for reference. You can use this to check on your version. Fake @ pirated can be detected. As in this Queen boxset, it is quite easy.

Take note, I don't have the original version. You may want to watch this video as a reference for an ORIGINAL boxset.

THE BOX

Box side front. When sliding your hands on the emblem, there is a slight feel of embossed.

Box side 1. Ignore the tape. This box set is probably a few years old by the original owner. I got this used from him.

Notice that the pirated CDs are housed in a NORMAL jewel cases. The original should come with SUPER JEWEL CASE. Google to see the difference.

The first album. I thought the print is a bit grainy.

Similarly, the print here also looked like the colour are grainy.

AND NOW WHY YOU DON'T BUY FAKE @ PIRATED BOX SET...

Pop this in the CD Player (Marantz), it can't be read.

So... among the 15 CDs, two were not readable by my Marantz CD Player. This add up to the fact that you are paying to the pirates. Respect the artists who worked day and night to give you the entertainment you love.

Finally, be aware of your purchase. Always ask questions if you feel uneasy about the item. Pirate sellers will try to avoid direct questions such as "Is this original?" or "Are you SURE this is original?". Most of this fake @ pirated box set comes with very attractive prices (very cheap that is too good to be true). Good luck!
