Review: A-HA Live at Oslo Spektrum

Before Mayhem, Burzum and Slayer mag there was...? A-Ha! Gotcha. It was A-ha that break all news from Norway. And to listen to this album since twenty five years ago was kind of enchanted knock of memories when new wave and synthpop rules the earth. Yes, they were cute and good looking though not as hunk-ing as their next generation vocal-pop as in NKOTB or Bros but at least, they can play their music. And they play it good too. Here we have, perhaps their final release on CD. A show recorded live in the capital Oslo taking back all their greatest hits on one night. The voice of Morten Harket was as I remembered, smooth, soothing and mesmerizing. The music is pure 80s synthpop; remembering the over-sized suite these kinda band always wear with that huge blond hair. A triumph of some kind. And what other way is better to exit than to play Take On Me at the final track - fading with a smile.
