November Record Day - 22nd Nov - Collection of an Artist

I was hooked with CAMEL since the day I bought their debut cassette in the bargain bin (STORY HERE). The collection of the album here is almost complete considering the most recent album were not released on vinyls.

If you like PINK FLOYD then you will probably like CAMEL although CAMEL was much more technically profound in all departments. Less dreamy and spacey though. The reason people like CAMEL is probably because the way the guitars and keyboards intertwined together in between the complex (and sometimes, simple) song structures. They don't really rely on vocals. Most of the songs are long passages of instruments with vocal breaks here and there. They did became simpler, moving towards commercialization but never made it. I guess, their place will always be in the cult.

Camel are an English progressive rock band formed in 1971. Led by founding member Andrew Latimer, they have produced 14 original studio albums, 14 singles plus numerous other compilation and live albums.
