HIS HERO IS GONE ialah antara band hardcore paling influential pada zaman ‘90an. Muzik mereka menggabungkan elemen D-Beat & crust yang laju & brutal dengan element sludge yang slow, heavy dan melodik, melahirkan stail yang dilabel sebagai “dark crust” atau “epic crust". Selepas His Hero Is Gone berpecah, 3 ahlinya meneruskan legasi crust mereka dalam band baru bernama Tragedy.
