Open Idea Competition (OIC)

As one of the education member in Malaysian Structural Steel Association (MSSA), I supervised groups of students from UTP and UiTM in the Open Idea Competition (OIC). It is opened only to institutions who have MoU with MSSA.

In 2012, we won a consolation prize which is quite a huge thing to us for one reason, which was the group was a collaboration between two institutions.

Recently, it is getting harder to supervise but I am thinking of doing this again for next year. The prize is getting bigger year by year. Of course, all the prize money will go to the students but watching these students collaborate was exciting enough.

MSSA has kind enough to published the 2012 and 2013 competition as a coffee table book. And I am proud enough to have my name published together.
