Final Year Topic (FYP) announcement

I will probably need 5 FYP students for this semester. All the topics are in offshore structures dealing with composite material. Basically, this composite material has the potential to replace the existing offshore structures – finding out whether this composite material is feasible or not via laboratory experiments, will be the basis of this research.

These 5 individuals will work closely together on common subject (because you are using the same composite material), researching and exchanging ideas although you will be graded individually according to the parameters you are working on.

Since these topics also involve with outside party in the industry, coming out with the topics will take a little bit of a time. We are drafting it now. Hopefully by Thursday (13th Oct), the topics will be released.

As you are aware by now, FYP is a very important course. You will present your final research findings to external examiners who came from the industry and in some cases, the FYP results will be used for the application in the industries. Furthermore what you learn from your FYP will definitely shaped you to face the realities in the outside world.

With that, I am looking for candidates with genuine interest and drive (not your CGPA). We will work immediately once you are signed up.

Please email me if you are interested to be a part of this research
before 10pm Tuesday 11th October.
