SENTENCED Amok

KLASSSIK!!! Ini album re-defined Death Metal in terms of approach. Siapa terpikir yang Death Metal boleh dimasukkan elemen Hard Rock? Well, Sentenced was the one yang terpikir. Kalau tak salah aku, album ini bagi impak yang kuat kepada Sil Khannaz untuk album Gerbang Kayangan. Instead of the usual Metal chord, Sentenced menggunakan minor chords yang famous dengan band-band hard rock. Tetapi the twist ialah, feel memang Death Metal especially dengan vokal meneran Taneli Jarva. Eventually Sentenced mengarahkan konsep mereka sebagai Suicide Metal yang mana hampir keseluruhan album seterusnya berkisarkan tentang putusnya harapan untuk hidup. Agak-agaknya band emo terkesan dengan Sentenced tak?

Amok is the third album by the Finnish metal band Sentenced.

It was in 1995 that the band made their real breakthrough with Amok, considered the best of their albums by most fans and critics. Compared with their earlier work, the music had slowed down somewhat, acquiring a more melodic structure. The track "Nepenthe" was complemented with a music video and the band took to tour Europe in two full-length tours supporting Samael and Tiamat right as Amok was released.
