Fiction is the eighth studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band, Dark Tranquillity. The earliest release date for the album was set for North America on April 17, 2007. A limited edition of the album includes a bonus DVD with live songs, behind the scene footage, Character's "The New Build" promo video, and the "Focus Shift" video clip. In addition, the limited edition disc features an extended booklet layout.

The songs "Misery's Crown" and "The Mundane and the Magic" mark the first time since Haven that vocalist Mikael Stanne utilizes clean vocals in addition to his usual growled vocals. Additionally, "The Mundane and the Magic" is the first song since "Undo Control" from Projector that features a guest female vocalist, Nell Sigland of Theatre of Tragedy.

KOMEN: Album ni best! Sebab ianya adalah continuation dari album sebelumnya Character. Lagu Misery's Crown memang komersil habis tapi very catchy terutamanya part korus tu. Memang sing along. Otherwise, DT memang terkenal dengan melodi yang catchy disamping odd time signature diantaranya. Ramai nak ikut, tapi tak menjadi. Memang DT is the master of Gothenborg Death Metal!
