JUDAS PRIEST The Complete Albums Collection boxset

Sekarang tengah gila beli boxset hehehe..

Sebabnya, tak payah nak cari album satu-persatu. Beli sekali, cukup semua.

Bukanlah cukup semua, sebab walaupun kata complete, ianya tidak complete. Mungkin complete takat tahun boxset itu dirilis. Jika ada album baru selepas itu, kena beli juga.

Boxset JUDAS PRIEST ini lain pula halnya. Ia tidak mengandungi album Jugulator dan Demolition dengan vokalis Tim "Ripper" Owens. Saya ambil gambar ini dan pos ke instagram dengan menyatakan tentang hal ini. Tak lama kemudian Tim "Ripper" Owens telah perasan instagram yang saya tweet (secara automatik) lantas dia pun bagi komen beliau seperti di bawah yang kemudiannya di retweet oleh beliau.

Yang sebenarnya, saya sendiri tidak memiliki album nyanyian Tim Owens pun hahaha...

The Complete Albums Collection is a compilation box set album collection by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on 12 June 2012 by Legacy Recordings. The Complete Albums Collection contains 17 Judas Priest albums, (excluding the Tim "Ripper" Owens era).

Remastered tracks

The set also contains newly re-mastered versions of Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings of Destiny. Each individual album is packaged in a replica mini-LP sleeve reproducing that album's original cover art. The set also contains a 40 Page booklet with photos, liner notes, and album credits.

 Mudah bagi saya. Semua album tersusun dalam satu kotak. Walaupun terpaksa korban inlay yang tiada (sekadar kadbod vinyl replica) namun booklet 40 m/s itu sudah memadai.

AT THE GATES Malaysia?

Harap-haraplah...

Tahun lepas kita disajikan dengan MUNICIPAL WASTE, kan? Cara kerjanya ialah apabila band-band penting ini melintas atau berada di sekitar Malaysia untuk show lain, kita boleh "curi" sikit masa mereka untuk singgah ke KL. Nak book secara khusus, tak mampu. Tak mampu dari segi crowd tak cukup nak tampung kos.

Itulah caranya MUNICIPAL WASTE "dicuri". Sehari dua sebelum date KL, mereka ada show di Jakarta, Indonesia.

Nah... AT THE GATES akan tour ke Australia bulan Oktober ini. Kenapa tidak dicuri? Boleh kan?

Saya dapati selepas show akhir di Brisbane 1 Nov, AT THE GATES tidak di-book sehingga 7 Nov. Antara 1 hingga 7 adalah masa yang cantik untuk show sebelum KL. Namun, ini harus dibuat segera kerana saya pasti Indonesia, Singapura dan Thailand juga mempunyai hasrat yang sama. Silap gaya, negara tersebut sudah pun memulakan bicara dengan AT THE GATES!

My relationship with KDN

For your info, my name and address has been blacklisted by KDN. I had lots of packages containing CDs confiscated due to Black Metal. It doesn't has to be Black Metal actually. Anything which they "think" fit the criteria to be confiscated, they will confiscate no matter how long you argue with them. I had a session with them. Me, alone with their KDN team and an Ustaz arguing about it. In the end, useless, my CDs got confiscated anyways.

So whenever a package arrived at Ipoh's Post Office HQ, it will be sent to KDN to be opened and checked. As a practice, they may opened it, then resealed it back. Some of the CDs which were originally new and sealed, were torn opened because they will ALSO checked the contents and lyrics (to that extend).

Nowadays, I play around. In the photos above, it was some CDs which are "clean". I got them all OK.

Why would I let the "offensive" CDs to be sent to my address, right? That would be stupid. Only the "clean" one will be addressed to me. 

Or maybe I have change my way of listening to music? No more "offensive" material for me. Done with that. Hehehe...

Sup Darus

Sup Darus is a soup stall at the Taman Kanak-Kanak (or famously known as TKK) in Ipoh. It has been there since the dawn of time. Still taste the same.

The cook always has a smart appearance despite the warung environment. He always wear a collared shirt. Hair done nicely. And he always has the calm face even if he is pressured with lots of orders. He has only one helper to send the order away. I have never seen him looked distressed.

The soup is simple. One thing I like about it is that it has a balanced amount of spice. Not too spicy yet still has that illuminating taste (whatever that means). Try it if you happened to be around TKK. Open after 7pm.

Letter section from RIP mag Dec 1988. The writer is now 67 years old. I wonder if he still thrash and rock around? I am exactly at his age in 1988 right now. Yes... 40.

SCORPIONS forever!

Reading the 1988 interview while listening to 2007 album. Whatever that were told by Mr Schenker and Mr Jabs still hold water to this day in terms of Scorpions way of making music. That is why I think, they have stayed strong for so long, even when the insistence of retiring for a few times came out. For that, I am glad to be exposed to When The Smoke Is Going Down back in 1982. I was 7 at that time.
